Today was my first Spread Love Workshop at San Francisco State University. I had prepared many unstuffed printed hearts and over one hundred paper hearts ready for personalization and/or stuffing. I had high hopes and the eight people who came were enthusiastic and had a great time. I was a bit disappointed with the turn out, but it was a rainy day and it has been a pretty tough week already, so I am happy that those who did showed up.

Participants were encouraged to make as many hearts as possible in the 40 minutes we had together. Those who could sew made fabric hearts as well as paper hearts, and I sewed any hearts for those who were not comfortable with stitching. Smaller hearts were used to write personal messages and were added to the preprinted hearts.

Although the weather was pretty drizzly we took them all outside and hung them up for those who passed by to look at, take fro themselves, or give to someone else.

I think the end result is quite lovely :)
